Saint John Energy is the winner of the Sustainable Electricity program’s 2018 Advancement of an Integrated Approach to Sustainability. SJE staff undertook and achieved the Sustainable Electricity Company Brand Designation completely on their own, a significant achievement for a small, local distribution company, and one which furthered their sustainability capacity within the utility.
2018 Continuous Performance Improvement Award
This award is given to a company that has demonstrated a commitment to sustainability performance improvement through new projects, programs, and initiatives.

2018 Leadership in External Collaboration and Partnerships
This award is given to a company with a strong commitment to external collaboration and partnerships with Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and other stakeholders.
Toronto Hydro is the winner of the SE program’s 2018 Leadership in External Collaboration and Partnerships in Sustainability for the Metrolinx Battery Storage initiative. This initiative will increase grid resiliency and contribute to the local community’s goal of becoming Toronto’s first “Net Zero” neighbourhood.
2018 Individual Leadership on Sustainability Award
This award is given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership on sustainability issues within the electricity sector.
